After a strong weekend of competition for the Lipscomb cross country teams, both men s and women s squads moved up in the South Region rankings as announced by the USTFCCA.

The Lipscomb women s cross country squad finished in second place Saturday morning at the Vanderbilt Invite at Percy Warner Park.

The Lipscomb cross country squads run at the Vanderbilt Invite Saturday. The men's race is at 9 a.m. and the women at 10 a.m. at Vaughn's Gap in Percy Warner Park.

In the first Atlantic Sun Cross Country Poll of the season, the Lipscomb women s squad was a unanimous first place choice by the league s coaches. The men s team was voted second, just nine points out of first place.

Lipscomb freshman Sally Larson has one collegiate race under her belt. She can now add Atlantic Sun Cross Country Runner of the Week to her accomplishments.
