Thursday begins day one of the NCAA Division I National Championship East Region Prelims for Lipscomb track and field. The Bisons placed six athletes in five events across the competition.

Lipscomb track and field landed eight student-athletes on the Atlantic Sun All-Academic team as announced by the league office on Wednesday. The Bisons earned the most All-Academic honorees of any team in the conference.

Lipscomb track and field will be sending a record six Bisons to the NCAA Division I East Region Preliminary Round. The meet takes place from May 28-30 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Day one of the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championships was a successful one for the Lipscomb track and field squad. The Bisons ended the first day of competition with two wins, six All-Conference honors, two school records and one A-Sun record.
