The Lipscomb track and field squad is headed down to Tuscaloosa for the weekend to compete in the Alabama Relays.

This is the first large-scale outdoor meet for the Bisons after last weekend s Lipscomb-Belmont Dual.

Karly Hibbard was awarded the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after a solid showing in the Lipscomb-Belmont Dual. In her first-career outdoor meet, Hibbard stepped up against Lipscomb's crosstown rivals.

The Lipscomb track and field squad kicked off the outdoor season with the Lipscomb-Belmont Dual Friday afternoon. The male team outscored Belmont 76-73, while the female athletes fell to the Bruins 75-65.

Seven members of the Lipscomb track and field squad were named to the 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team on Friday. To qualify for the honor, the student-athletes have to own a GPA of 3.30 or higher.

After a successful indoor season the Lipscomb track and field squad is kicking off their outdoor season with the Lipscomb-Belmont Dual, track and field s version of the Battle of the Boulevard.”
