Barbara Lee Ball has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country, announced Friday on the College Sports Information Directors of America's (CoSIDA) website.

Lipscomb track and field will be sending a record six Bisons to the NCAA Division I East Region Preliminary Round. The meet takes place from May 28-30 in Jacksonville, Fla.

The weekend saw Lipscomb track and field athletes earn numerous individual accolades, and both the men s and women s teams finished third in overall points at the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championships.

Day one of the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championships was a successful one for the Lipscomb track and field squad. The Bisons ended the first day of competition with two wins, six All-Conference honors, two school records and one A-Sun record.

After a season filled with individual and team success, the Lipscomb track and field squad is about to take on its toughest test yet: the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championships.

Freshman Paige Stoner notched her first career Atlantic Sun Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award after her performance at the Georgia Invite on Saturday. Stoner finished first in the 3000m with a time of 9:41.20
