The Lipscomb track and field teams were split this week between two different meets and the results were positive on both fronts. Christian Freeman finished third and broke Ryan Chastain s school record in the 3000 meters with a 8:26.64.

Friday and Saturday part of both the men s and women s teams will travel to the Crossplex for the third time this season. Another group of Lipscomb athletes will be heading north to Southern Illinois for the SIU Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Gemikal Prude and Kennesaw State s Andre Dorsey shared the Atlantic Sun Field Athlete of the Week honors after both jumped to a height of 2.20 meters in the high jump at TSU.
