Tessa Hoefle has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America First Team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Thursday.

Madi Talbert earned Second Team All-American honors in the 3000-meter steeplechase Wednesday night after her performance at the NCAA Nationals.

Lipscomb track and field athletes Madi Talbert and Gemikal Prude will begin their quest for dominance as the NCAA Nationals kick off on Wednesday.

Talbert is headed to Eugene, Oregon Monday for the NCAA National Outdoor Track and Field Championships for the second year in a row. She is scheduled to compete Wednesday.

A three-time Atlantic Sun Conference women's cross country scholar athlete, Lipscomb senior Tessa Hoefle was named the league's 2013-14 Female Student Athlete of the Year on Tuesday night in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Madi Talbert took her turn representing Lipscomb at the NCAA East Preliminaries Friday night finishing fourth in her heat in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
