The Lipscomb track and field teams returned to the track after a short hiatus for spring break in the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invitation in Nashville. The two-day meet started on Friday night with eight events, four of which were invite only.

The Lipscomb track and field teams took a break from organized workouts over spring break but were held accountable for individual workouts with the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invite on the horizon.

The Lipscomb track and field team picked up two weekly honors from the Atlantic Sun Conference for the second week in a row. Dani Walker earned the Track Athlete of the Week while Gemikal Prude earned the Field Athlete of the Week.

Most athletes would agree that being on an athletic team at Lipscomb is like being in your own elite social club. Practices are like pledging and competition is like formal events.

The Lipscomb track and field teams had another successful weekend setting records – both personal and school – enroute to winning five events Saturday at two different meets.

The Lipscomb track and field team kicked off the Samford Invite with four events on Friday, seeing three personal records set in Birmingham, Ala.
